Bottomed out the suspension while jumping a highway. Unfortunately, I bent the stock shock absorber. The Parts Unlimited shock absorber has performed better than oem. Great fit, finish, and quality for the price.
Got this to replace my worn out shock. This fit well and made the ride much smoother. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is that it did not perfectly match the factory shock. I needed to add a spacer to make this fit right.
Its a rear shock for a 95 indy 440, its cheap, it fit the sled, and it looks like a shock LOL I really don't know how else to put it. Its an average rear shock with a good price tag on it. I'll go with a gas one in a couple year probably.
i recently paid a good price for one of these shocks from dennis kirk and put it on my 95 indy 488 and it really is doing it's job for the price. i would recommend it too my friends it beats paying 50.00 more at a dealer for the same exact shock! drove me wild when i went to the dealer and they told me the price, so i said ok thanks i'll go get some cash, and i went home and did some shopping and i remembered i have bought parts from dennis kirk in the past and sure enough they had what i needed. :) so i called dennis kirk and they had what i needed and for wayyyy cheaper, same specs and everything else but for way less so i got it and i am happy with it.
I bought this for my Polaris snowmobile because it was listed below the compatibility section and when I got it, it fit in and has performed with out problems since. I am going to be honest I rode it pretty hard after applying the shock absorber and the ride was comfortable.
It's an oil filled shock. It's not made for ditch pounding. I've used these in several Deere sleds and they seem to hold up to moderate riding. These are the first ones I've gotten with the Deere part number stamped on them. I thought that was a nice touch. This is a Deere owners go to shock.
Purchased two shocks to replace the originals on a couple of older Yamaha Enticers. No need to save the bushings and sleeves- will not fit the replacement anyway. Easy enough to make do with a few parts from the hardware store. Still a good value even with new bushings.
