There are a limited number of choices in protective eyewear for those of us who wear perscription glasses. Most of the available products make you look like a dork. This dismal state of affairs has finally been addresed by Pacific Coast ! The Airfoil goggles look good and are a comfortable fit. Peripheral vision is not blocked. The vents work well. As long as the bike is moving glasses don't fog up. I wear these with a Shoei St. Cruz and the helmet and goggles work well and look good together. The visor on the helmet prevents infiltration by rain water. I was somewhat amused when another reviewer reported that the clasp came undone while riding. I had the goggles for several months before I noticed they had a clasp! Pacific Coast Airfoil goggles are a vital piece of gear that I wouldn't be without.
I decided I wanted to try a pair of inexpensive goggles so I could wear my prescription glasses when I ride. These appeared to meet my criteria on being inexpensive. After trying them out, I'm finding I prefer to wear these instead of my normal riding glasses even if I'm not wearing prescription glasses. They are extremely comfortable to wear, don't bounce around in the wind, and perform every bit as well as goggles costing 3X the price. I actually liked them so well I purchased a second pair so I have bost a clear pair for night and a smoke pair for daytime.
Had both tinted and clear. Problem with the tinted is that once you take a small stone or insect, like a June bug, in the face the tinting will scratch. The clear ones can be buffed if the scratch or scuff is in the line of vision. I only use the clear lenses now and they fit over my glasses fine. I've worn these in the winter and they sealed good, also good in the rain. Very much recommended. -v-
I must reorder this item after going down. Looking at the scratches on the lens it was obvious that the lenses on one side contacted the pavement without causing an injury (helmet was toast too). They were comfortable to wear all day long while touring, day after day. The fit over my steel rimmed prestription glasses were fine, causing no discomfort. They are better by far than the other over the glasses goggles offered by DK. The only negative I can list is certain light they made it look like there were storm clouds brewing up. Something to do with the UV protection I suppose.
I have tried 3 other brands of over the glasses (prescription glasses) goggles and these are the very best. I actually had a pair 9 years ago and just wore them out - now I'm back to them - tried to buy cheaper - don't bother - these are the balls - AND they look cool too.
Good goggles except for the catch in the middle of the strap. Came apart on a windy ride and the googles came off my face. Wrapped duct tape around it and now it stays together. Doesn't make sense to have a catch there anyway.
dennis kirk good to deal with although it seems the telephone people do not know the product lines either personally or with comprehensive computer system. this product of average quality (would like there to be a much higher quality product offered/on the market). received the goggles quickly through mail.
