I weigh 175 lbs. at 5'8" ordered a medium and it fit perfect with enough elastic to wear with or without a coat underneath I would Highly suggest this suit to anyone. And with D/K's return policy on clothing , you can't go wrong.
We have been struggling with old rain gear for awhile. Since we were leaving for a trip and rain was likely, it was the right time to buy new gear. We went to a shop and tried on some gear. Then went on line to order. Saved a very significant amount through Dennis Kirk and the Nelson Rigg units we got fit the bill. I went with the lesser model because of packability, but did not really suffer quality loss. We did indeed have rain and there was no problem staying dry. Reasonably easy on and off with just one hitch. The wife's pants want to catch the material in the leg zippers, making it hard to zip up once over the boots. The temperature fluctuated a bunch and these did well not to get hot. The fit is as advertised.
Well constructed, good suit I like it, but the fit leaves something to be desired, I'm a medium and it's like an extra large or XXL. I recommend it, just by 2 sizes smaller unless you're going to use it over heavy/bulky winter gear, in which case by one size smaller.
I compared quite a few rain suits and there were several costing twice as much but the higher price was all they brought to the table. Besides good visibility (absolutely necessary in the rain) to others, the quality matches that of the more expensive suits and I anticipate years of worry free riding when the rain comes.
This product appears well made and durable, although time will tell. I had a Froggs suit which ripped after 1 year. Jacket fit is good but will be tight with leather jacket (which I rarely use as I do not ride in cold weather). Like the drawstring and boot loop on pants.
Highly recommend these products, being that I purchased a few other products from other websites that failed to honor their described items correctly and was stuck with items that didn't fit at all... thanks Dennis Kirk
By the measurements in the sizing chart I went with a medium and I normally take a large. I am 5'8" and weigh 190lbs with a muscular build. The pants fit me well with plenty of room. The jacket seems snug at first but it is because of the elastic in the waist. I do not see it being a problem and it should fit over my leather jacket. I have not ridden in the rain with this yet but the material seems very durable and well made and reminds me of the wet weather gear I got in the Army but better. Hopefully I will not have to use it but eventually your luck runs out and you get caught in the rain.
Awesome cover for riding my wheeler. Caught in downpour last year stayed warm and dry. Also throw it on when just a bit chilly holds in body heat without over heating great for fall riding. Color is highly visible in poor conditions. Bought a second one for back up to have at home
A bit flimsey but it will do until I get proper jacket
Haven't used it yet and hope I never do. Its something I put in the bottom of the bags and forget about it. If you're looking for something to wear frequently look elsewhere, and plan to spend way more than this suit. As for durability? This suit is like a reinforced freezer bag.
Fit is big. Not for continuous use. Best for price.
High visability reflective. Nice style good fit. Get 1 size down. I tried on medium over my leather jacket it fit good . I'm 170lb 5.11.. seams are taped. Not expecting heavy duty long lasting suit. For occasional use only. I expect wind will loosen seams. I'm keeping it in my bag just in case. It will work if I need it. I paid 50.00. It's probs worth 35. But if it keeps me dry that one time. Priceless.
the suit w orked great kept me dry. The only thing wrong are the sleve closure. That velcro is rediculos. IT should be elastic slave with a velcro overlap. You need king size gauntlets to to cover the entire sleave. The boot access could be larger.
