Nothing BUTT comfort
Got this for the GFs Sportster. It is very comfortable and supportive. The quality is great, mounting is a snap, so easy a cave man could do it. We have taken several all day trips and NO complaints about the seat. Researching forums before buying Mustangs always rated higher then other brands for comfort and quality.

Does the job well
Factory solo seat looks decent/more fitting of the narrow shape of the 09 Nightster but not very comfortable on longer rides. Bought this model because it's prob one of the widest you can get. Along with this model, you can get a 10.5" rear seat for your lady. It does the job very well-longer rides are not a concern anymore. It's wide but once you sit on it, nobody can tell. It is a little more firm than I would like but then again I'm only a buck seventy five. Maybe there is somebody else that makes a seats with different firmness within the seat. Foam on these seats start out as a liquid then it is poured into a mold to set. So there is no varrying the firmness about different regions of the seat. It does give you a lot more room laterally and puts you a couple inches back from the tank. I only gave it 4 star because some of the threads are starting to fray-need to look into the warranty. For the price it will give you much more return then some of the other junk you will add to your bike. So invest in your booty!

Excellent replacement Seat
Put this seat on my 2011 Sportster 48 and it feels awesome. Way more comfortable than the stock seat, with much better lower back support. Bumps that used to jar my teeth are barely noticeable. Bolted right up (I got the one for a 4.5 gallon tank) as it keeps the original gap between the seat and tank (even with the small peanut tank).

It does change your riding position quit a bit. You sit higher and slightly further back than the original seat. The seat is also much wider (at its narrowest point) than the original, so your legs are further apart as well. Still a very comfortable riding position (I'm 5'9" at 170 lbs).

The only negative thing I would say (and its a personal preference, nothing to do with the seat itself) is that I like the sleeker lines of the original seat and wish they made a much smaller solo seat with the same amount of comfort as this one. Overall, I would recommend this seat. Its makes a world of difference if you're looking for a comfortable, although slightly larger solo seat.

Seat didn't fit me...
This was the second aftermarket seat that I tried on my 2011 Fat Boy Low. It went on in 10 minutes or less and I am not mechanically adept. Unlike a lot of other seats, this one came with the blind nut to attach to your fender. The Mustang seat is much bigger than the stock seat both in width and in height. It fit on the bike very well, but did not fit me at all. Being somewhat “vertically challenged” I chose the FLSTFL for its low height with the stock seat, but the Mustang put me at least 2 inches higher and made it impossible for both of my little 30 inch legs to touch the ground at the same time. I did not ride with this seat because of this, and promptly sent it back to Dennis Kirk. It does exhibit typical Mustang quality and I cannot complain about the fit and finish of this seat.

I need longer legs
I ordered this seat because the stock seat on my 2001 Hugger is killing me. I have heard great comments about this seat so I ordered one. Unfortunatley I am sending it back. This seat raised my bottom up off the ground 2". The front is so wide that it spreads my legs out farther and also makes me not be able to get my feet solid on the ground. The stock seat has me flat footed, this Mustang has me absolutely on my tip toes and it's unsafe for me to drive that way. I wish Mustang would narrow the front an inch, and make this seat fit around the frame rail at the front so it would set lower there. I am severly bummed about this. If you can spare 2" of leg length, then this is the seat for you. But, it's not for me...... :-(

My Butts Finally Happy
Sportster's stock seat was torture after 1/2 hour of riding. My butt finally feels much better after installing this seat. Easy installation.

Mustang is a Must have.
Maybe not the best seat on the market but certainly a massive improvement over the stock seat on my 2010 FXDC, and definately in the top 3 seat products out there in my opinion.

The seat is firm and comfy, has improved my riding posture significantly, and aleviated a lot of lower back pain for me. I no longer have any pressure discomfort on the back of my upper legs and butt. I can now ride long trips comfortably, and the seat looks good on the bike, like it was meant to be part of the bike and not an accessory.

Excellent seat and Excellent value all round. Well worth the $$$.

I just bought this seat to replace a Corbin that was on my Dyna. WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT!!! This seat is stylish AND COMFORTABLE. It has a vintage look and is very well made. It is also Made in America which is important to me. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend this seat to all my friends.
