Get it Get it Get it
I tried all manner of cushions, pads and liners but nothing could alleviate the tailbone pain I got from my Vstar 650 Classic seat. Now, no matter how far I ride, no more tailbone pain. It is so much more comfortable. There is still irritation from too long in the saddle (11 hours) in one day coupled with the vibration. I also chose the studded seat as I felt the large amount of blank black area visible needed something and it looks great on my bike even though I'm not a fan of studs and conchos. The fit on the bike for the front seat was a little difficult. I had to put my weight on it to get it on far enough to get the bolt started.
I gave it a lower mark for value, because like most accessories, I feel it's overpriced. Unfortunately , if you want a mustang seat, you need to pay their price. and if you don't have a comfortable ride, you want a mustang seat.

Great investment
This seat is wonderful! A great investment. Not only does it improve the appearance of my 2007 Honda Shadow but it is a dream to sit on and a back saver. Love it!

LOVE MUSTANG SEATS!!
I have two Honda Shadows and replaced both stock seats for Mustang Seats. Before I felt I was actually just riding on the frame. After about 1/2 hour my butt would hurt so much I really couldn't enjoy a longer ride. The Mustang Seat is firm, big enough for my butt and comfortable. Dennis Kirk beat everyone else's price by at least $75.00. I thank you and my butt thanks you. The seat does raise the seating level about 1-2 inches ( all that marine grade foam..) American Made too... Highly recommend!!

Great seat but VERY WIDE in the front
I bought this seat for my 650 v star custom. It looks fabulous and is much more comfortable than the stock seat, although it is much firmer. It does position you a little further forward which is nice for me. The problem I have is that the width of the front leg pass area is very wide. As a short rider (5'-1" with a 29" inseam), I went from touching the ground flat footed with my knees slightly bent to touching only with my toes unless I slide far forward out of the bucket of the seat. I was discouraged by this, but decided to give it a try first. After a 130 mile trip, my inner leg muscles felt quite over stretched and sore, but I am going to continue to see if I can adjust to that part since my butt didn't hurt (and on the stock seat it hurt around 40 miles). I love the lower back rest that's built into the seat and the wide seat where my butt actually is, but I do wish the front area were narrower.
