I replace all the vent hoses on my quads with Moose vent caps. I put a small amount of crazy glue (be careful not to plug the vent hole) on the stem of the gas cap so the vent caps stay secure.
I thought it was just the vent cap but it comes with just the right amount of tubing to put it on your gas cap you don't need to buy extra tubing for it.
This Moose vent cap is simple device that prevents a vacuum build up in the gas tank. I will never have to worry about the long vent line from the gas cap to under the steering stem being kinked again shutting off the gas flow.
Purchased this (twice - last one got torn from the bike and lost in a harescramble) to replace that eyesore vent hose tucked onto the steering stem. No instructions supplied, so I figured I would just heat the bottom with a lighter and push it onto the gas cap while the heated hose was pliable. Seemed to fit just fine. But, later I did notice a hissing noise when I had stopped on a trail ride - sounded like gasoline fume pressure was escaping through the vent, and some gasoline had seeped from around the base - pushed down on it and it has since seemed to have stopped. Gonna cinch a zip-tie around the base for good measure. Moose needs to supply some intructions for proper insallation. Looks good and tidy, though.
