have these on my dr650, ive jumped, wheelied, and did some pretty nasty rocky offroad, they have held so far
some people claim they didnt last or leaked right from install...bad install, a small nick in the slider tube, slight bend or any imperfection will cause a seal to leak or wear fast
has 2 sealing points instead of one, fit was great
The only problem I had was figuring out how to hold my cartridge up while slipping the spring over it. Bailing wire to save the day again. Thanks Dennis Kirk for always having what I need. WHEN YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT.... DENNIS KIRK
Fork seals are vital to the performance of your ride. Leaky ones create a mess as well as ruin a good riding bike. Moose seals were recommended to me by a friend. Fit is as OEM and so far offer just as good a seal. Make sure you have the PROPER seal driver for your ride. Not installing them properly will almost certainly guarantee a leak. A good time to change them is during a routine fork oil change. Don't want to pay dealer pricing? Then get Moose. Glad I did.
Great kit fit and finish was awesome, I did use black RTV to seat the dust covers. I had no issue with install and the quality of the seals looks good time will tell.
My mechanic told me to purchase these for my crf250r and after reading some of the reviews i wasnt sure. After he installed the seals he said the only one on the bike that wasnt leaking was the moose seal and he has good luck with this product.
Have been using these seals in place of stock for some time and seem to be good. Wiper does not have external spring to aid wipper keep the dirt out but do have multiple lips, seems to work ok.
I purchased these seals and had them professionally installed. They both leaked within 5 minutes of my first ride. Thinking maybe they were installed wrong I took it to another dealer. Before looking at the bike they asked if they were 'Moose Racing'? They said the quality is laughable and I was experiencing it first hand! I took it to a third dealer with seals in stock and they said the exact same! I had to buy new seals again, pay labor again, plus buy more fork fluid! Beware!!!!!!
Installed Moose seals, went for a ride around the yard and they were both leaking within minutes. The bushing kit was very inclusive, everything you need. Seals were replaced by Dennis Kirk's warranty department, (Thank You DK) chose a different brand.
