I love this dual gasser throttle. The only thing that DennisKirk does not tell you, that is on the packaging, is that it is designed to fit stock Honda and Yamaha cable applications. If DK had mentioned that, I would have bought this sooner. The only improvement this product could use is, the release pin for the twist could be more glove friendly. I use the twist for straight, long, wide open trails and I use the thumb for the tight technical stuff like jumps, wheelies, and woods. A little pricey but it saves my thumb.
The idea is awsome, the thumb and twist throttle are smooth. Poor machining! The top has to be removed to insert the throttle cable, after you adjust your idle and throttle play. You put the top back on to find out the bike is reving out due to the top not being machined out deep enough to accomadate the moving parts inside, thus causing the throttle to stick open after you rev it up. The lid was machined out wrong. It was not deep enough to clear the moving parts inside! I machined out the lid to clear the parts, but it was soo thin it broke a hole out in the top. even with it being machined out to the point there was a hole in the top it still catches the moving parts inside and sticks open every now and then. Over all great product if it was made deep enough inside to clear the moving parts. And this is a huge safety risk if your throttle sticks wide open!!!
The gasser does not fit a stock raptor throttle cable, it is to short. I tried, and had a certified motorcycle mechanic look at what was going on he was baffled that they claimed it to be a "perfect fit" looking into aftermarket throttle cables but for someone who thought i was getting something i could install with ease i am now annoyed and just put my stock throttle assembly back on for now.
