This is definitely a good value and investment. I can be cleaned and recharged. It will pay for itself within 2 cleanings. I have one in my Expedition, and couldn't wait to change motorcycles and add a K&N filter.
i would buy again, traps dirt and other particals, would recomend cleaning after everyother ride though if you ride in dusty places, or if you ride with other people that spit up fine dirt in front of you.
Installed this in my VLX, bike just runs better. Slightly more power, smoother idle, easier starting. I will save money from here on out when it gets dirty. Kind of a no-bainer purchase when you compare to the price of a paper replacement filter.
I bought this for my kawasaki motorcycle to replace my original. I have always used K&N air filters in all of my vehicles, Never had any problems or issues. They flow very good, just keep them clean and oiled. I will always recommend K&N air filters. Worth the money!
High Flow K & N filter. A bit of work to install depending upon your model. Not the filter itself, but getting to the box on some sportbikes can take a little work. Remove your tank altogether or get a 2nd set of hands to help/hold your tank should your airbox reside underneath. Trust me! Installed a Yosh slip-on simultaneously and was happy with the result overall. Would recommend to all...
I love ordering from Dennis Kirk. The products are there, the customer service is wonderful. They respond in a matter of no time and the costs are always WAY less than what I can find locally. My Honda will LOVE it's new Moose. I only wish I didn't live so far away from Dennis Kirk.
Perfect for my ride, but fit is surprisingly poor. Actually, it is just the one spot where the manufacturer grinds down the excess from the molding process. I had to get out my Dremel and cut the left side down to allow the cover to seal properly. It made a 3 minute job into a 20 minute exercise in creativity.
Moose air filters are as good a quality as any foam filter on the market. They are compatible with all filter oil compounds, with no known problems, and they are the least expensive full quality air filters available. I normally only use No-Toil or Moose air filters.
