The picture of these boots is a horrible misrepresentation. But it is the same picture they use on other websites so nothing against Dennis Kirk. The neck of these boots are wide enough for an elephant. Not sure whose calves they were designed for. So despite them being the correct size for my foot, my ankle "rattles" around inside the boot. Not a secure feeling. Too bad. I was looking forward to wearing these. And now I have to pay 8 bucks to ship 'em back. Not cool.
The Engineer Boots are excellent. I searched all over the internet to be able to replace a pair I had for 10 years and the sole finally gave up the ghost. I finally found them at Dennis Kirk, price was great, but they're listed as close out. I guess waiting another ten years for me to purchase another pair would be poor business, but dang they're good boots
I received the boots in a very timely order and wore them on a trip to Colorado and they were great. the sole is stiff but comfortable. the fit and finish was great. I will buy again if they are available.
These will be my third pair.. excellent boot in my opinion.. really well built and tough as they come.. I was excited to find these at Dennis Kirk.. I believe they are close out because Milwaukee quit making them.. so disappointed.. one of the last to be made without the goofy buckles.. I don't understand.. the buckles do absolutely nothing.. except possibly scratch my motorcycle tank or rip a seat.. anyway love the heavy padded neck and the fact it holds a boot knife quite well.. the width for me is perfect.. not too narrow not too wide.. length 8 all day long.. I wear my boots all day long everyday and do everything in them.. lots of miles on my motorcycle and maintenance guy by trade.. these boots can really keep up.. Thanks Dennis Kirk
