Commander II
I bought these last winter & had them installed for the 2013 riding season. Used OE Dunlop prior to that on all my HDs. Love Michelin on my cars, thought the claims may or may not be true as far as mileage goes - yet to be determined. Awesome cornering, have not had one slip regardless of road surface/conditions. Litmus test for me - had to lock 'em up because a guy pulled out in front of me. Nice - straight line stop for the most part. Grip and control helped avoid a more serious collision. I'm sold on these Commander 2 tires for price, longevity, & performance.

Great Tire
I put a set of these on in May of 2013. I am replacing the rear this weekend. 13,000 miles. Rides better, smoother, stops better, great on grooved pavement and way better in rain than the Dunlops from Harley. For less money they are far superior to the Dunlops. Durn right I am buying them again. I ride a 2003 HD Ultra, 30% two up, some to/from work, weekend rides from 100 to 1500 miles. Never a bobble, never a problem.

Very Disappointed
This is the second tire that failed on me. First was a long road trip and side wall blew out leaving me in a crash 1000 miles from home. Yes it was a long trip, had approx 8000 miles on it when failed. 1 year later I tried this tire again and it failed again. This time it had less than 3000 on the tire. Both times the sidewall blew out. This time I sent tire back to where I purchased. Michelen requested a photo of the tire and determined it failed due to under inflation. WRONG!!! Really you can tell from a picture??? I have been riding over 30 years and each time I go for a ride I check air pressure & fluids. I am disappointed in the manufacturer and will not recommend this product to anyone.

Michelin Commander
I like these tires. The Commanders seem to be smoother riding on the pavement than the Dunlops that are stock with Harleys. My riding style is touring, sometimes at high speed and mostly straight-line.

Great tire!!
I purchased this tire for the FRONT of my 2012 Triglide. Normal front tires are very rounded as the motorcycle leans into curves and turns, but the Triglide does very little leaning. With the stock Dunlop front tire, trikes are only getting 11-12,000 miles before they wear out in the center. The contact patch on the pavement is only about 1 1/2" wide. The CommanderII has 25%more center tread, and the contact patch on the front is now over 2 1/2" wide. Triglides are heavier, and mine is more stable now, and does not catch on grooved pavement as it did before. It is GREAT on the front of a Trike. I have Michelins all the way around, on my TriGlide. Never Dunlops again!!!
I would gladly recommend this tire for the front of a trike, or the rear of a 2 wheeled motorcycle.

Very good value and performance in a rear tire
Just purchased the second Commander II, replacing the one on an '03 Ultra that doesn't exactly get babied. The first tire had 13,800 miles and there was still good tread but had a long trip coming up so replaced it a little sooner than really necessary. Likely could have stretched it to 16K or so. I've never gotten more than about 8K out of a Dunlop. Very happy with the performance, wet or dry, and the mileage. Btw, the front Commander II with 13.8K shows very little wear.
