BEST TIRE I EVER HAD
I have been riding for over 40 years. Tried many brands of tires. The Michelin Commander II is just amazing. Great traction, Compared to Metzler 880 I had on before it is night and day. The Metz is useless in the rain. The Mich is excellent for accelerating and braking wet or dry. I just now wore out my Mich at 25000 miles! Harley Softail. Ride to work daily. Everyday I hit over 100mph. So its not like I'm easy on the tires. I don't know how they do it. High mileage and good traction. Even the ride is smooth and perfect.

Best Tires
I have rode the Mezlers, Avons, Dunlaps....None compare to the commander II's. Alto the Commander Ii looks VERY much like the Avons they work better in wet and last longer. Have on front and rear.

Best Tire Yet!
Bought a set of these instead of the factory mounted Dunlops and I couldn't be happier! Steering is far more accurate, as is ride and grip! No more "Harley Wiggle" when changing lanes or following raingrooves. I will never put anything but these on my Super Glide again!!!

Awesome Tire
These are the best motorcycle tires I have ever ridden on. I have 105,000 miles on my 03 Electra Glide. I have pretty much tried every major motorcycle tire mfg out there, Dunlop, Metzler, Pirelli and Avon. The Michlellin Commander II tires put them to shame. This tire is a big improvement over the Commander I tires as well. They ride great, handle great and are excellent in the rain as well. Do yourself a favor, put a set of these Michellin Commander II's on your motorcycle. If these tires get the claimed milage they are saying, Wow.. I put a set of tires on my Glide every summer, I will be alble to get almost two riding seasons out of these. Talk about saving some money? 2000 miles on them so far, so far no measurable wear, so we'll see.

Great Handling
Replaced my Dunlop's with these on my '09 Dyna and I couldn't believe the difference in the handling. It's like a totally different bike. Doesn't jump when I cross the grooves between lanes and they really stick in the corners. Don't know what kind of mileage I'll get from them yet but anything over the 11K I got on the rear will be better. Great service from DK too. Ordered them on Friday and received them on Monday.

Great mileage tire
I have this tire on my 2011 Kawasaki Nomad 1700. I put this tire on 05/02/2013. As of today, I have just under 17,000 miles on it and I still don't think I am down to the warning tabs. It is hard for me to accurately define performance because I do a lot of highway miles but I have taken many a back road with twisties and have had no problems. The center is flat but it still appears to be handling ok. I really expect to get another couple 1000 miles out of it. If you do a lot of riding a year, this is the tire for you.

Far Better Than Dunlop
Put this tire along with the matching rear Michelin just prior to a 700 mile trip to southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. Riding the winding two lane roads in that area was a real joy and this tire was awesome. Very precise in the corners and confidence inspiring even in the rain. Some of the roads in Missouri have grooves cut in the direction of travel for wet road traction for cars. The previous Dunlop always wanted to follow those edge traps, but this Michelin all but ignored them. Superior handling in all the conditions I've encountered this far. Best. Tire. Ever!!!

Commander II
I bought these last winter & had them installed for the 2013 riding season. Used OE Dunlop prior to that on all my HDs. Love Michelin on my cars, thought the claims may or may not be true as far as mileage goes - yet to be determined. Awesome cornering, have not had one slip regardless of road surface/conditions. Litmus test for me - had to lock 'em up because a guy pulled out in front of me. Nice - straight line stop for the most part. Grip and control helped avoid a more serious collision. I'm sold on these Commander 2 tires for price, longevity, & performance.

Great Tire
I put a set of these on in May of 2013. I am replacing the rear this weekend. 13,000 miles. Rides better, smoother, stops better, great on grooved pavement and way better in rain than the Dunlops from Harley. For less money they are far superior to the Dunlops. Durn right I am buying them again. I ride a 2003 HD Ultra, 30% two up, some to/from work, weekend rides from 100 to 1500 miles. Never a bobble, never a problem.

Do you install and mount?
Treena H on Aug 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I had the front and rear tires mounted and spin balanced by my local Harley dealer. Word of warning after 7200 miles the front tire has already worn to 2/32" with plenty of tread on the rear tire 5/32". My riding history has been that the rear tire will wear out before the front tire. I maintained tire pressures at 36psi front and 40 psi rear. Michelin's claim that these tires wear twice as long as their competitors tires is BS. I am going back to running Avon's they always were a great tire.
Does this tire fit my bike??
A shopper on Aug 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: What size ?
Can I replace the 130/90B16 with a 140/90B16 on my '91 FLHS ?
A shopper on Oct 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This gets a little questionable, depending on year of machine. Michelins tend to be an 1/8" wider than Dunlops. Belt guard does have to be trimmed off by the "B" bead. More important is the rear fender. For some strange reason, the fender clearance is tighter on the left side to tire (make sure you can stick your fingers up the left side, between fender and tire). I would reccomend staying with stock size tires on earlier models. This is from personal experience. Handling and wear are not real sugnificant. Cheers TT
what with rim is needed and will it fit under the stock fender 2013 Roadglide ?
WoodstockJack on Oct 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 3-3.25" wide rim and it should fit but you may have to drill your fender mounting holes out to 3/8". Then push down on the front of the fender while you tighten the fender bolts. This will give the necessary clearance between the tire and the back of the fender. I say it should fit because we run the same size Avon Cobra and it does fit. We haven't ran the Dunlops. Hope that helps. NativeCustomBaggers dot com
I have spokes wheels and use tubes. This says tubeless. Does that just mean that it can be used tubeless but can I use a tube with it?
John M on Mar 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I run them with spoked rims and a tube
Seen same part number for front n rear ? I got front but I needed rear are they the same
A shopper on Sep 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: realistically, they are the same manufacturer, but the front tire tread design is completely backwards from the rear tire tread design. There are rotational direction arrows on both tires. The rim size and tire width is completely different. Please contact Dennis Kirk for assistance, to ensure you get the proper size for your bike. Happy Riding!

A shopper on Jan 31, 2017

is this the same tire size as MU85B-16?
Howard A on Sep 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I believe it is as I put it on an 07 HD Ultra
what does hb stand for on tire?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the H = the speed rating, 130MPH. And the B = that its a Bias Belted tire. Most motorcycle tires are bias belted. There are some radial tires, the code is R. They are used on Hyper Sport Bikes, never on Harley's. Also you'll see a number usually listed, such as 61. This is the load rating of the tire. Check your owners manual for the correct tire size, speed and load rating for your bike. Also, Dennis Kirk supplies this info.
Ate these old stock?
Jordan D on Jul 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I had the same question when I bought my tires about a year ago... when I got my front and rear tire from Dennis Kirk, they were not old at all... still running them on my 2013 street glide with no problems at all. Love em....
Can I use this tire on my stock 2003 Road King Classic? Right now I have Dunlop 90HB-16
John M on Mar 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it will fit. The Michelin will most likely last longer than the Dunlop as well.
My 2008 Harley fxstc calls for a MH90-21 front tire. What is the difference between a MH80/90-21 and a MH90-21 front tire?
A shopper on Jul 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The MH80/90-21 should be a bit wider than the MH90-21. I put the Commander II on my 2008 FXSTC and found an entirely new bike. Great feel and response, which is why I put them on my 2014 FLXHS. AWESOME TIRE
Do you have this in a wide white wall?
Charles D on Sep 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I do not show a WhiteWall option available for the Michelin Commander
This tire is listed as a rear tire. However, this is the size of my front tire. Does it matter if I run on the front?
Travis D on Apr 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Have been told that if you need to run a rear tire on the front or visa versa reverse the tire so the arrow is going backwards to the recommended rotation. Reasoning the way the plus are wound. I think you should email the mtg. Reps for sure.
Will these work with Harley Davidson laced wheels?
A shopper on Dec 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I think your best answer would come from the manufacturer of your wheel....I just know they are classified as a tubeless tire...and I think they are a great tire...handles great!!

How old are these tires, have they been on the shelf for years?
Danny on Jun 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have bought around 10-15 tires (Dunlop and Commander II) thru Dennis Kirk in the past 5 years. None of them have been more than a year old according the tire date stamp. I heard stories of them being on shelf for years and started checking the tire stamp I have no worries of the shelf life or quality of tires I get thru Dennis Kirk.

BEST ANSWER: Yes using tube with this tire on HD softail with spoked wheel!
Can I run an 150/80/16 on my 02 883 custom?
A shopper on Aug 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: my problem with that tire was it was as narrow as a 1:30 when I needed a 1:50. So it is possible but normally you can only jump up one tire size. I believe your bike has a 1:30 on it. Like I said that particular time was an inch narrower than the 150 that was originally on the bike. Good luck. It really comes down to the clearance between the belt and the sidewall of the tire
