Performs as Advertised

I ride a 1978 KZ1000A and wanted an up-grade to radial tires. Unfortunately, no one makes radials to fit the narrow OEM rims of vintage bikes. Metzler solves this problem with the Lasertec series tires. While not a radial, Metzler claims radial performance and the Lasertec delivers. The ride is nice and smooth. Handling is very precise, and traction is excellent in both dry and wet conditions. These tires impart a feeling of comfort and control on any road surface. A Thousand Kaw weighs over 500 ponnds. Fully suited up in riding gear I'm around 200. I frequently mount a large tail bag on the bike and tend to inflate the tires hard for fuel economy. After 4000+ miles of use treadwear is noticable but even and not unreasonable. Metzler lives up to their reputation as a premium brand.
