Metzler 880
Not a lot of miles but so far a great tire. Handles and rides smoothly, good traction. Very steady and so far better than the Dunlop Elites I've used before.

A great replacement for the stock Dunflops
Own a VTX 1800F and went through both front and rear Dunlops in less than 5000 miles. I know this is a heavy bike and most of the riding was 2up with the little lady but.... c'mon. Actually, I kept the rear on until 5500 but man was it reeeeeally bald. Put the Metzelers on front and rear and have gone another 5000 with barely any wear on either. They ride smoother, handle better and obviously are going to last longer the the almost worthless Dunlops that Honda curses this bike with. Only gripe would be maybe they are a little pricey, but after the first 5000 miles I am completely happy with the price, as they are definitely worth every penny I paid

I'm over them
I've had all I can stand the mileage is terrible I have gone thru my third set and don't have 28,000 miles on my nomad we're only geting between 6000 to 7000 miles we ride all over TN 2up easy riding they do handle well but they start cuping early and cracking at the edge of the side wall where the tread meets I ran 42lbs. of air so thats not the issue I just don't want another set.

I have recomended these tires to all my friends
Great all weather tire. Performs well in wet and dry conditions. The mileage is slightly less then the stock Harley tires but the handling is tons better in the rain. I have 2 Harley Softails ( Fatboy & Heritage ) with well over 100,000 miles between them. I have bought alot of tires from alot of different manufacturers and dealers and in my opinion these are the best all around tire for the money. I received the best price and service from Dennis Kirk. Thanks guys.

wider tire-
97 dynalowrider--the long trips were horrible with the standars type 130 tire--the design of the tire also didn,t give any relief to you on long rides--switchted to the 140 metzlerand the ride was great-plus the traction was a great deal better--the 100 & 140 are great tire to buy for a better ride and the traction is way better.

Good Tire
This is a good tire. So far I've put about 250miles on it. I have this tire on a Roadliner wheel that I installed on my Roadstar. The handling is much improved, great response and traction. It was priced a little more than the factory OEM Bridgestone, but I like the design and responsiveness of the Metzeler compared to the Bridgestone. If if will last 11k miles like the Bridgestone, than I will be extremely happy, so we will see.

Great Tires
I love the ME880s over the factory Dunlop choice on the Harley's. Mileage MAY not be as good, but the grip is far superior and worth any loss of mileage you may experience.

Awsome Looking Tire!
Replaced with the same tire. This tire looks awsome on the custom wheels on my '04 fxstd! Low profile, fat and nasty! It gives the bike a "sick look!" You won't be dissappointed! I got about 7,000 miles out of the last rear METZELER 180/55ZR-18. This of course will depend on each individuals driving habits!

Best tires yet, much better than stock
The ME880 tires are the 3rd set of tires on my VStar 1100 Custom. The original tires were garbage and worn at 8K. Replaced with another brand which handle much better but still wore out in 8K. I replace the rear 9K miles ago and still have about 1/2 life left. Handled much better. Just put on the front ME880 and what a difference. Much more stable and predictable, feel comfortable in turns at higher speeds. Should have been the stock tire, then I would have paid attention to the warning not to try tires other than those listed in Owner's Manual. Try them, you'll like them. Be sure to see manufacturer's recommendation on pressure for best life/performance.

How rated miles for this tire 130 70 hr -18?
A shopper on Aug 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I Cant answer as to what the rated for. I ride a Yamaha Stratoliner, and had about 10000 miles on my last set. Also should mention that these tires took away the squishy feeling in the corners. Hope this helps, and enjoy.
What is the best air pressure. For the 880 Metz Lee marathon ?
A shopper on Jan 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: For customer bikes always what bike mfg. suggests. My personal bikes closer to tire mfg. specs. As I tend to ride aggressive and want a harder tire. Ride Smart

does this price include shipping?

BEST ANSWER: Think it was free shipping, but they charged a $5.00 tire fee. Dennis Kirk is pretty good with prices as compared to others over the years. I always get tires from them.
