At speeds of 55-65 the 5"windshield is great, just a little wind buffet to the helmet but the looks make it worth that. I think for long rides the 7" windshield would be the way to go and I do plan to purchase one, For the $ and the looks I can't think of one thing I don't like ( My friends too)I will be painting the faring the same Cobalt Blue as the Roadking but will leave the windshield the way it came (very dark). If you buy the same kit as me you won't regret it !!
Price is a little steep for such a shorty windshield, but the quality is there. I rated low on visibility because, honestly, this isn't the screen you buy to look through. Great look without blocking the wind, which is half the fun in riding.
I purchased the 5 inch tall black windshield and I love how it looks. For longer trips I am going to purchase a taller windshield, probably the 12 inch. The 5 inch looks great but I want more protection for the long road trips.
I recommend the 5 inch for riding around town or day trips, any longer trips, I recommend a taller one.
Ordered this to go with my Batwing fairing on my 2006 VTX1300C. Absolutely the best choice I could have made. Being that I am only 5'6", rids the fairing of a lot of wind buffeting while still giving me some protection from bugs! Was definitely a great choice! I chose the 5 inch black which fits my bike perfect! Extremely easy installation!
