I love, love, love it. I am a 5'1 female so the 13" shield is perfect for me. I keeps me from feeling as if I'm gonna go airborne on the highway. I love that I still have the sporty look so I will probably not take it on and off as much as I had planned. Dennis Kirk ships fast and their products are of great quality.
Nice small windshield. Knocks down about 75% of wind from chest while leaving clear view ahead. If youre looking for a little more protection I'd go with the Del Rio. Or get both. They're easy to swap and fit the same mounts.
This is my second Memphis Shades windshield so I think they are very good. Easy installation and fits to the No-Tool Trigger-Lock hardware well. This size windshield (15" tall) gives minimum protection but that's what I was looking for and it looks good on my Sportster. Fits nice around the Sportster headlight.
have a 2009 streetbob, wanted a windshield for some protection from road debris, but didn't want the big windshield look.this one fits the bill nicely. easy install, and looks great.as always super fast delivery, thanks dennis kirk.
The quality of the windshield and mounting brackets seems good. Installation was not too hard, but would have been easier with a bit more detailed instructions, especially with respect to the locking triggers. The windshield looks great on my Sporty, and noticeably reduces air flow to my helmet and chest. A larger windshield would have reduced air flow even more, but I don't like the look of a large shield on a Sporty. This one looks great on the bike, and breaks the wind pretty good too.
Assembly was fairly easy and so was the installation (YouTube is very helpful). The only thing that took some time was adjusting the fork clamps to line up with the plates and making sure clutch cable and throttle cables are not catching when I turn the bar. I decided to route the throttle cable between the headlight and the mounting plate. I left the clutch cable outside the windshield and behind the triple tree (XL883N). Hopefully the routing shows on the pics. Wind protection is not bad for the 13" height. I tried to adjust the rake as best as I could. The best thing I got was little dirty air/turbulence right around my forehead (I'm 5'2"). I wish they had booster for this model like the Fats. That might fix the dirty air a bit. I wear a full face helmet so it doesn’t bother me too much. I mainly got this so my torso doesn't become a sail and I'm hoping to save some drag and gas. Not sure about gas yet, but it does help with the drag a ton. I don’t have to lean hard against the wind when riding 70 mph with headwind anymore. It makes for a more relaxed ride. I’m not big on windshield and that’s the reason I got the trigger lock, but with the Del Rey installed the bike doesn’t look bad at all. Props to Dennis Kirk for the quick delivery.
