They last...
I switched from Dunlops a few years ago due to having to replace my tires twice a season. It got very costly and I started to ask around to see what people were running and what lasted. I am on my 5th set of Maxxis tires and am very happy. I ride everything from sigle track rocks and roots to wide open desert races and am happy to say I have never once gotten a flat. I hear from the tire "experts" that other tires hook up better or give better traction on logs when they are wet but my concern was not having to replace them twice a season. They dont chunk like other tires and they rip on the trails.
