I've used a lot of chain lubes over the years and on different bikes , but none perform like Maxima Chain Wax. It stays on and won't fling off even in the rain. My chains last twice as long using the chain wax.
Drive chains lubrication with heavy oil allows contamination with grit, and causes premature chain wear. This product when applied to a cleaned, dry, warm chain does the trick. When it is liquid, it penetrates around the o-ring seals to lubricate the link and pin. After letting it dry, the liquid becomes a dry seal to prevent moisture, sand and grit from contaminating the inner chain parts. I recommend you clean your drive chain after every outing with a pressure washer. Dry you chain and warm it up with your ATV on blocks, and reapply the Maxima Chain Wax.
I was initially skeptical about using a wax instead of an oil lube, but I got more than 10,000 highway miles out of my new o-ring chain while using this wax. Used it roughly every 200 miles. I eventually replaced the chain out of principal. Even though the chain stretched (as any chain will) it never really showed signs of rapid stretching.
Use every week after riding. After 2 years of riding chain is still in great shape! Both sprockets wore out from all the rain this year but am still using my old chain. Works great and doesn't fly off!
