Installation of a new exhaust system may change your motorcycles fuel-air mixture. Please consult the exhaust manufacturer directly with questions regarding any modifications that may be made during, or after, installing their product. If a jet kit or Power Commander is recommended, see the Intake/Fuel section.

Exhaust discoloration (bluing) is caused by engine conditions such as cam timing, fuel-air mixture, operating temperature, etc. It is not the result of defective manufacturing, therefore is not covered by any warranty. Nice replacement exhaust
I have an old 1982 Yamaha XJ 750, and the previous owner had knocked the baffles out of the painted/rusted stock system with a hammer! The exhaust was so unbearably loud I couldn't even ride it. This was an inexpensive and (in my opinion) better-looking replacement for the stock twin chrome trumpets.

My main concern was with quieting the bike down from the levels of the previous system, and this does the job very well! Highway riding is easy, and the exhaust is barely even heard unless you've got the throttle open pretty far. It has a nice note at idle and looks pretty good, although a bit of water has collected in the rear lip of the exhaust and caused some rusting, though it looks like only on the baffle insert.

The paint has held up, no cracking or bubbling, and it went on fairly easily, although I had to do a little tugging to fit the pipes width-wise into the exhaust ports on the engine. The rest bolted up easily and simply.

Probably the only issue I have with this system is that draining the engine oil gets it all over the collector and I need to wipe it all down after every time, but that's something I'm willing to live with for the 4-into-1 setup.

Not bad...
Fit and finish was good, although the finish on the header seemed to wear off quickly. After only a few hours of use, the header began to bubble in a couple quarter sized spots. The finish then flaked off in these spots. I hope that this not continue to spread. Sound is good. The rivot in the muffler can be drilled out and the silencer removed for a much louder sound.

Best Up-Date for my old CB750
This has been, value wise, the best up-date I have done to my CB750. The replacement was fast and easy. Some pushing and pulling was used, but overall the fit was good. The new systems look makes the bike look new again. Could not ask for a better product for the price. Thank you Dennis Kirk.

Mac 4-1
I haven't fired the bike yet, but the 4-1 fits the CB500 like a glove. If it sounds and performs half as good as it looks, I'll be happy

Easy to install
This header and muffler took only about 30 minutes to install. Perfect fit on my 1975 Honda CB550K. Matte black finish seems durable, looks good. Gives the bike more of a modern superbike sound -- sort of a nasal growl. I was already jetted 12 points richer than stock, and no further change was required. Takeup from idle is good, and acceleration above 3000 rpm is improved. Very happy with this system.
