Installation of a new exhaust system may change your motorcycles fuel-air mixture. Please consult the exhaust manufacturer directly with questions regarding any modifications that may be made during, or after, installing their product. If a jet kit or Power Commander is recommended, see the Intake/Fuel section.

As said earlier I took my brake pedal off. I realigned it and so that it doesn't hit the exhaust when you release foot pedal. Underneath the lever is the factory stopper. Which is not long enough with the nut on. Take the entire screw out of the brake pedal and the nut use to lock it in place. Take the nut off the screw. Put the screw back into the pedal and screw it in about half way, now put the nut on the screw so now the nut is other side of bracket. Adjust the screw til the pedal doesn't hit the exhaust. Then tighten that nut up and it's locked in place. First time install 4 hours. Good luck.
This 2-1 MAC system can be installed on a 82 Honda CM450c, but I don't think it should.
This bike has a finned housing on the bottom front of the engine which covers an oil cooler and the starter. Both of the MAC head pipes pass directly over this housing within a 1/4" and then rests hard against the oil pan under the engine. With single wall exhaust tubing the heat transfer into the oil and starter is not good. The bends in the headers are too tight and there is no way to adjust the pipes for more clearance. The header pipes are routed so the oil filter must be moved sideways to replace the filter. Also note that after installing the MAC system the stop on the original left muffler will be gone and the centerstand will rest on the underside of the drive chain. The MAC muffler has a removable baffle but has no packing and is not designed for packing material. Once installed the pipes can't be returned. So beware!! I am buying two mufflers and reinstalling the original pipes.
