Great Street Brakes
After doing some deep research into brake pads I decided on this one. They say "Organic" but nothing really organic in the materials this brake pad is made of. It's an old category that is is really obsolete now. The brake is a Kevlar-Carbon brake pad. Kevlar is the stuff bullet-proof vests are made of.

I found that sintered metallic brake pads generally provide the best stopping power and the trade offs are noise, dust, high heat #possible warpage of rotor#, and rotor wear #abrasive#. The brakes I took off the rear of my HD-VRSCDXA were Brembo sintered metallics. I can tell you without objective measure that these brakes far out perform the Brembo metallics -- the difference is dramatic enough that I have had to get used to the extra grab they provide.

The Red Plus are more agressive but I understand Lyndall is phasing them out that which is left in inventories won't be replaced. Both the Gold Plus and Red Plus perform well with Carbon-Composite brake rotors as well. I am using them on OEM steel rotors.

No uncontrollable grab... smooth feeling to them, no noise, no dust, and they operate at lower temperatures so less chance that you may warp a rotor. They have two vertical grooves to help vent away water vapor #aka steam# to keep it from reducing braking efficiency when riding in wet weather. Nicely made on what appears to be a sintered metal back plate that may be lighter than OEM steel plate. They weight 249.5 grams for the pair.

Unlike HD OEM these do not come with replacement center pin and sping retainer -- that is the only down side. You mess up the spring retainer #a redundant saftey control# then you got to order one -- you should never re-use things like spring retainers/cotter pins.
