pros: well made, great fit, and helps riders with forward reach issues. cons: may make you feel like you're riding on top of your tank, thighs may rub on battery / electric covers depending on riding position.
overall: have ridden over 150 miles / day without issues. if you have forward controls & reach issues, the up-front is a simple solution -although if you're over 5'7", it may push you too far forward. i don't have a problem flatfooting with the stock seat on a street bob, so I didn't really notice any difference in seat height with the up-front.
i put forward controls on my hd fxdb and had reach problems with the original seat, could not get my heals on the pegs. purchased this product and it has brought me closer to the handle bars feet flat on the ground(1 inch) and no problems with my heels on the pegs (close to 2 inches). advised for those who have reach problems with there dyna with forwards on and you still get that slamed look.
I put this seat on my 2010 Wide Glide. I am 5'-7" and this seat was a great improvement to my riding position. Feels like it moved me forward about 1 1/2" to 2". Much more comfortable and it fits the lines of the bike better than stock seat. During hard acceleration you stay right in place, no sliding back. If you are a shorter rider this seat is perfect. Thanks Le Pera and Dennis Kirk! RIDE ON!!
A Perfect fit and absolutely fits my Street Bob 2010. Excellent finish. Very satisfied with my purchase. I 5' 6" and had problems reach the foot pegs. Installed the reduced reach forward controls from Harley. It helped somehow but still not perfect. After installation of this Le Pera seat I finally had the position I wanted. I recommend this seat to anyone. It sits you very low and forward enough to reach your footpegs.
