Excellent Product.
These grips were easy to install and far more comfortable than any stock grip I have ever encountered. One thing to remember however, if you want the rotational position of the grips to match on each side, INSTALL THE THROTTLE SIDE FIRST. The reason for this is because the throttle cables dictate the position of the grip. Then install the left grip and position it to match the right grip. I also found it helpful to position the left grip without glue and using a sharpy marker, put a small dot on the grip and another small dot on the switch box housing. By doing this, when you remove the grip to apply the glue and re-install permanantly you will know exactly where to position it and not worry about the glue drying before you get it adjusted right. Just line up the dots. Use a little alcohol on a cotton ball to erase the dots. Now, go for a ride and enjoy your new grips!

Great Grips - BeVery Careful When Installing!
Kuryakyn makes great products - ISO grips included. I wanted a pair of ISO grips to match the ISO foot pegs I installed last Fall. Grips feel great and reduce vibration, not to mention they add more chrome and "class" to my bike.

Installation: Read the installation directions very carefully as the glue sets up INSTANTLY if you stop moving the grip at all. I made the mistake of applying glue to the throttle housing along with the inside of the grip (This is how it was done on the CruiserCustomizing.com video) - not good. The glue on the throttle housing started "plowing" and had I continued pushing, I would have glued the throttle side grip to the housing, making the throttle inoperable. That was a $70 mistake because once I stopped pushing the grip onto the handlebar, it glued instantly, and about two inches from where it needed to be. I had to literally cut the grip apart (destroying it) in order to remove it from the throttle housing. $70 later, I had a new set of grips and tried the installation again. This time I only applied glue to the inside of the grip - per Kuryakyn's instructions, and it worked fine. The trick is that you cannot stop moving the grip for any reason - not even a micro-second (and I am not exaggerating at all here) - slide the grip on in one continuous motion and do it quickly. I recommend doing a couple of dry "practice runs" so you know what to expect. Learn from my mistake and do it right the first time. Installation of the clutch side was much easier now that I knew what to do - again, I only applied glue to the inside of the grip, not on the handlebar itself. There is no room for the extra glue to work under the grip so it all gets pushed up to the end of the grip which is what you do not want.

Note: When dry-fitting the grips, take a marker (which rubbed right off the chrome) and mark the grip and housing so you know exactly where you want the grip to be when done. Again, you will have absolutely no time to play around with the position of the grip, as once it's on, it's on!!! Also, determine if you want the grips to match (mounting position) when the throttle is closed or if you want it to match when you have the throttle opened up. That is just a personal preference.

I plan to add some color accent rings to personalize my grips and may even consider a Throttle Boss.

The glue - I'd rather have a more forgiving glue that may take longer to cure, but at the same time would allow you to take your time with installation and final adjustment. Some good videos of installation (other than just Harley Davidson models) would be very helpful because it might prevent having to spend another $70 when the first attempt at installing the grips failed.

Work great for smaller hands too
I purchased these after a lot of deliberation and reading lots of reviews, that's how I am. The DK site had the best price/rep combo. My cruiser came with metal grips with O rings and I couldn't ride 10 miles without numb hands. I have small hands for a guy and my only concern getting these is I saw in the reviews that they were "fatter" grips and good for large hands. When they showed up and I took them out of the package they did feel chunky. Installation looked simple enough but for $25 I had them professionally installed. They went on quick and easy and came out looking great. I've rode for a few hundred miles now with them and no more tingles. Even though they are substantial in my hands they have a nice way of conforming to your grip and put your hand in a natural comfortable position. They also do what they say for shock and vibration absorbtion. So smaller handed guys, ladies, I would say great product and recommended.

I've been looking for the right grips for 6 months, add the stiletto end caps, and the extended iso throttle boss and you have some bad a** grips.

Comfortable
I got these grips from multiple good reviews on the 'net. Along with the matching Throttle Boss, and bar-end weights, the Kuryakyn solution is really comfortable over the stock grips on my Star 1300. Very pleased, and DK's service was accurate and fast as always!
