Overview of Kuryakyn Switchblade Footpegs - 4445

  • Sleek, versatile and supremely comfortable
  • In their standard compact mode, they are a large-surface-area, rubber-isolated footpeg
  • Deploy the concealed heelrest, and now you have the added fatigue-fighting comfort of the famous Kuryakyn ISO-Stirrups
  • Although this setup will work in any peg location, these are the IDEAL footpegs for bikes using forward controls or as forward-mounted cruise pegs
  • Pegs have Harley Davidson male mount ends for some Kuryakyn accessories that specify that end to be used - these do not fit directly onto a metric motorcycle

    Replacement Parts:
Curb feelers - Part No. 271026
Rubber pads (10 pieces) - Part No. 505479

NOTE: Not for driver's position on XL 1200V/X/C 11-14

ATTENTION: It is the installers responsibility to ensure that all of the fasteners (including pre-assembled) are tightened before operation of the motorcycle. Kuryakyn will not warranty components lost due to improper installation. Periodic maintenance may be required.

You don't want these
The concept is a good one but these pege fell way short of the mark.
No matter how hard I tightened the pegs, they still twisted when I rested the weight of my heels on them. Especially after a few hours on the road, the heel-rest featue was useless because the weight of resting my heels on them and the vibration caused them to rotate too far downward.
Also, as with the last couple of kuryakyn products I bought, the chrome starts to show rust spots in a very short amount of time.
Like I said, good concept but needs some re-engineering.

very comfortable
I purchased these pegs along with the floorboard peg adapters and they are perfect for me on my '05 road star. I went with the switchblade pegs for look and just in case I might later decide, "gee, I wish I had another place to put my feet." You can leave them as a peg as I do in the city or around town and then on those long rides open them up and cruise comfortably down the road. I have shorter legs and like very much that I can stretch out and keep close to the foot controls.

Pretty simple to install, and if you want a cleaner look paint the factory floorboard chrome and you'll be stylin'.

Ride safe...

Satisfies a need, with style
I bought the 4445 switchblade footpegs because there's nothing else on the market that satisfies my need for a heel rest and do it in a stylish way. Excellent product.

Does what it's supposed to.
All the comfort of floorboards without the the tacky look. I bought these for my Fatboy and the wife. She loved them. Instantly comfortable and offered total support for the entire leg. Now she can pile on the miles.

BEST ANSWER: the complete assembly for the footpeg comes with an extention arm that attatches to a Goldwing lower role bar. see rolebar, online in a picture of a Goldwing eighteen hundred. If you don't have such a bar, I would say it would not fit ypu bike.
How do u put on?

BEST ANSWER: If you are putting the switchblade footpegs on a bike that is not a Harley, you will need to buy peg mounts. Two of the choices are Kuryakyn # 7573 and # 8015. There are others that might be better, depending on your specific installation.
