I did not buy mine online. My local HD dealer had one on the shelf for a buck under retail (believe it or not). Like everything I've bought by Kuryakyn, this piece is impeccably made even though it's very simple. The chrome is flawless so the aesthetics is very nice. I put this on my '15 FLHTK Ultra Limited. Even with the fairing there's a fair amount of air coming over the front of the fuel tank before I installed this. I did a test before installing this piece with my hand to feel the air flow at different speeds. Then I installed the part and tested again. My test setup was with the fairing side vents closed, center fairing vent open and lower fairing vents open. I also have the HD front tie down brackets on this bike (probably no effect on air flow). My results varied by speed understandably. The air flow reduction was like this: 40mph=90% reduction, 50mph=80%, 60mph=70%, 70mph=60% and 80mph=50% reduction. So the faster I went, the less effect the deflector had. I also noticed that there was somewhat more air coming over the right side of the tank for some reason at all speeds. My conclusion is that the parts does help, and for the price is an ice addition to my bike. It's staying on for good.
