Not for inseam of 29 or less
With forward controls you cant bring the bar close enough without interfering with your shift peg. With my stones pressed against the tank, I can just reach the bar with the balls of my feet so for me with an 30" inseam im lucky, any shorter.....? Easy to assemble.... less than an hour!

Perfect fit and just what I wanted.
I love the cruise pegs instead of the larger more obvious crash bars. Looks great on my sportster.

Tight fit, good looks
Putting these on were pretty easy... They were tight around my down tubes it was kind a hassle getting the clutch cable out of the way of their mounting bracket. But they are adjustable and look a lot better than crash bars in my opinion.

needs custom work with custom chrome frwd controls
I bought these highway bars and when I tried to install them I discovered that they would not fit with custom chrome forward controls as is. Start by connecting the bracket and inner clamp together push whats left of the screw through the hole in the cross brace and place a 1/4 by 20 nut to hold the piece on the frame. Try the bracket in the recommended direction and in the reverse. I prefered the reverse because it brings the inner clamp closer to the downtubes. Once you find which direction you want the bracket, bolt the bracket alone to the cross brace. Aline the bracket with the cross brace and drill a hole on both sides of the center hole of thr bracket all the way through bracket and cross brace. Bolt the brcket to the cross brace through the two holes just drilled. Remove the center bolt, and then use the screw provided to attach the inner brace to the bracket and follow the directions as written from there. It's really not as complicated as it sounds, and doesn't take that much longer to do. Good luck, they really are worth the effort and extra time to install.

Doesn't Fit 2001XL1200C
I rated this poor because if doesn't fit, the rest don't matter.
Interfeared forward controls. Could not raise the bar passed appox. 10 degrees from center. If you rasied it any
further, the shiter hit on a down shift. When you locked the bar down just before the shifter hit, you would have to be 6'7" to gain any comfort. I'm 6' barly put toe on peg.
The foward controlson my bike are Harly Factory! Bike was purcased new!
Talked to Kuryakyn Customer/Tech support no help.
I'ved never seen a definitive picture of this product on an
Harly 1200 custom with forward controls. All the happy
pictures are mid-control sportsters. Dennis Kirk: I'd remove
the green light for 2001XL1220C. Discussed
