GORE-TEX® GLOVES + GORE 2 IN 1 TECHNOLOGY OFFERING TWO DIFFERENT CHAMBER OPTIONS BETWEEN DIRECT GRIP AND WARMTH
Finally a warm all day riding glove, top quality all around.
This Dual layer glove is awesome, my hands are finally warm when riding my Ski-Doo XRS even in -25 def F. These are awesome gloves, if you wear a large order extra large. I initially ordered a large pair and there was no way. Dennis Kirk gladly exchanged for an extra large, I am very very happy with these gloves. I am 5'9" 198 lbs and typically big box sporting goods store stuff a large fits me. IN this 2 stage glove with two compartments for your hands, 1st is the tactile compartment which doubles the insulation on the side of your hand that is exposed to the wind and puts only one layer of fine leather and lining between you and the heat from your heated snowmobile grips. It is so much more reassuring to be in direct contact with your handlebars then trying to ride hard with single stage thick gloves or mitts. Next the unused middle compartment while your riding adds a layer of technical and very generous insulation against heat loss form your heated grips and then redistributes that heat back into your fingers while you ride. Even my previously frost bitten throttle thumb stays warm for the whole ride with these KLIM Tundra Gloves. When you stop to chat, slide your hand into the middle compartment and you have equal insulation around your entire hand. The documentation and the combination of GoreTex and Thinsulate and the explanation of how these work together in the tags attached to these gloves would please any engineer and I am an electro-mechanical engineer. There is a paddle that you select to guide your hand into the "tacitly side" which puts only one engineered heat distribution layer between your hands and your heated grips. The other side of the paddle that guides you hand in says "Insulation" and if you slide your hands into these the layers are equally distributed around your fingers and hand. I have been riding Ski-Doos since i was 11 years only in 1966 in Northern Minnesota, I have owned and discarded $thousands of gloves claiming to be the solution for warm hands. I will remain a KLIM tundra glove customer as long as they never change these. These are well built heavy duty gloves, it took about 5 hours of hard riding to break them in, I know they will last. I have thrown glove that cost more then this in the trash destroying them in 5 hours of had riding. I don't mean reckless riding I mean going 125 miles or more between stopping and maintaining 15 to 20 mph average and rarely exceeding 50mph. At 63 it keeps me fit and trim. Last ride of 147 miles on Feb 24 in the blizzard, my fit-bit calculates I burned 7,800 calories. Believe me when I say these are great gloves, 1st gloves that go the whole day with out being changed. Just a fantastic product.
