Works as advertised
This lift went together readily, as works as it should. Fit and finish were acceptable. The hooks are plastic coated steel and reasonably spaced. I was surprised at how thin some of the steel pieces are, as well as the bolts that the lift pivots on, but they have worked fine thus far.
It still requires a fair amount of downward force to lift a snowmobile. On a couple of my sleds, I had to move the hooks higher and force them under the rear lift bar before using it so that the track would be raised high enough off the floor to fit a dolly underneath. (My conservatively studded tracks have 1” or 1 1/4” lugs.) Off trail machines with longer lugs might not work with this model.
Without reinforcing plates like the more expensive lifts I considered, I’m not sure how well the welds will hold up over time. I used it many times for two weeks with several snowmobiles.
Lastly, don’t forget to put blocks under your front ski dollies before lifting the rear. Otherwise the sled will roll forward and the lift will fall forward with your snowmobile on it.
