All KPMI titanium valves are manufactured from solid U.S. milled titanium bar.
The titanium bar is cut, forged and then the stem is pulled from the forging process and cross-sectionally reduced.
After all final grinding and machining the valve is encased in a hard chromium nitride (CRN) shell.
CRN offers excellent resistance to impact, abrasion, and corrosion.
These qualities along with its low coefficient of friction and excellent adhesion to titanium make CRN the coating of choice for high performance titanium valves.
We have tested these valves in the lab and on the track.
They have proven themselves time after time in many high-demand applications, from a dual stage nitrous motor to 14,000 RPM Motocross applications.

Note These valves are intended as O.E.M. replacement valves and are completely compatible with the O.E.M. spring kits. However, experienced engine builders, who are running aggressive camshafts or higher than factory RPM’s may find the combination of the O.E.M. Style Valve and KPMI’s Lightweight Racing Spring Kits advisable. All titanium valves are (Tensilite®) PVD CrN coated, and all stainless valves are Black Diamond™ coated.
