Excellent baffles
I ride an old Harley Davidson Shovelhead motorcycle. I put on 1 3/4" drag pipes to match the look of the bike. Well, the S&S Super E didn't seem to like that very much. There are various ways to fix the problem, but for me, Khrome Werks HP+ baffles were just the ticket. They eliminate a lot of the trouble the S&S had, provide a better power curve, and take just enough "edge" off the exhaust sound so that the neighbors don't call the cops as often while retaining that traditional Harley thump.
They are easily installed. You can use a pair of pliers to bend the edges of the baffle to widen or narrow the overall width along the barrel, allowing a perfect fit even if your pipes are not quite exact. Drill a hole through the bottom of your pipes or through the inboard side to fasten the baffles securly with the supplied hardware. If you want a louder sound, you can cut off a couple or three inches from teh tail end of the baffles too.
Highly recommended product!

helpful addition
I purchased these after installing aftermarket slip-ons' on my wife's v-star and even their optional "quiet" baffles were still a bit too loud. I figured that these would fit inside of those baffles and they did with a little adjustment per the instructions. They are well made & have a rather unique shape which I believe contributes to their effectiveness. While they were designed for drag pipes, they work well in our application too.

Great Product
Quick and easy install. Gets rid of the harshness drag pipes can give off while still retaining volume. If you're looking for a baffle to quiet down drag pipes, these are not it.

Harley Heritage softail / Rinehart 500-200 slip-ons
They worked well , easy to install because they are adjustable to fit a two inch pipe . The best thing is they dropped the noise level down from 100 db gain to 93 db which is a lot better . the holes you have to drill are on the bottom or back side of the pipe and are well hidden

Works Well
I used these in the headpipes of a custom flatrack style exhaust on a Kawasaki W650 twin. Twins are inherantly loud especially with no cross-over pipe & big glass pack mufflers. Using these as "pre-mufflers" allowed me a noise reduction without any reduction in exhaust flow !

Do they reduce the amount of noise and do they make enough back pressure to stop backfiring?
Fedmann on Feb 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: On my bike they reduced the sound just a bit, and they completely eliminated the loud obnoxious bbrraaappp!! I’d get when downshifting. I had been running straight pipes previously. The baffles also gave the motor a bit more torque that I’d lost when I switched to straights, I guess because they increased the back pressure. Twin Cam 88
this is for a pair?

BEST ANSWER: Yes they come as a set. They don't muffle the pipes significantly but they provide just the right amount of back pressure. Easy to install. I like them
