I already use ISO-grips because they have 'flats'. My fingers don't cramp anymore. The right handle bar is where I hang my helmet so it doesn't get scratched up and as a bonus, this lock installs on the ISO-grip end. It's the best idea I've seen to ensure I have a helmet when I get back. Even though I've replaced the 'D' rings on my helmet with a snap, I was able to re-install a ring along side the snap to work with this lock. I sawed the ring thru the part that hides in the strap loop so the ring looks solid when it's reintsalled. When I leave the helmet, I just put the "D" ring in the lock's slot and push in the lock's pin. I only have to fiddle with the key unlock the helmet.
Installed them with new grips and couldn't be happier with form, fit and function. Nice not having top stoop and fumble with removing the seat to get to the OE lock tab. They look good and come with the extended set screws so install is a snap. Would buy again.
I installed these locks and have use them all the time. They work just like advertised and look good. I would just suggest to install with slot up so the t-bar does not fall out when you unlock the lock. I have had no problems with this purchase or Dennis Kirk with previous purchases.
These are a trick little piece, but for the price, I was expecting a little better quality material. They fit well, and work as described, but the lock mechanism feels like you could break it at any minute. So far, I would recommend them, but I have the feeling that they wont be around in the long run. Hope I'm wrong.
These are very nice looking ends and the concept is great. Leaving Walmart I could not get the helmet lock to release. I ended up rounding off the key in the lock and had to force the end to screw out. Took me about 20 minutes to get the helmet off and the locking mechanism was ruined. Returned the item for refund.
