Squirts now

September 4, 2012

I pulled the bowl and accel. pump assembly with the carb in place. The parts fit well. My old diaphram was holed and dry rotted because the feed to pump from float bowl was blocked. This is a very small hole located above the accel pump chamber on a raised portion of float bowl bottom. Find this hole and ensure you can see light through it before assembling the spring/diaphram assy. I did not do this on my first try and of course no fuel equals no squirt. I cleaned the bowl bottom better and the tiny hole appeared and cleared with a very fine pick. Squirts now. The new needle install is straight forward. If I needed a new bowl gasket I may have purchased the other kit listed which shows the gasket with 3 o rings built onto it.
