i switched from using a stock oil filter to the k and n filter because of the value i was paying 12 dollars a peice for stock sents i switched i have noticed my oil staying cleaner longer great filter for a great price
been using K&N for many years now on a number of different rides. the 17mm nut attached to the filter makes changing my oil a breeze. Without it I would have to remove some fairing pieces so it speeds up the process and gives me more time to ride...warranty approved of course. And about the same price as OEM
K&N is well known for air filters, so I have no reason to believe their oil filters are not outstanding, as well. I use K&N products on all my motorcycles and cars. What really sets the oil filters apart is the 17mm nut on the end. I can't believe nobody thought of that before. Sure saves time and effort.
I purchased this filter to go with my Jardine Oil Filter Relocation Kit on my 2001 V Star 1100 Classic. As with all of the K&N products I have used, this filter has turned out to be a great buy. High quality construction, great price, and of course great performance. I am very pleased with this purchase, and I will be buying this filter again.
These filiters are the best, at least when it comes to putting them on and taking them off. With the nut welded to the end of the filter on/off takes seconds instead of having to fight with the filter. SInce they are K&N I am assuming the quality of the filter has to be as good if not better then anything else out there you can buy.
After several years of trying to get a full two turns on oil filters on my Suzuki Bandit, I switched to these. The nut makes everything a snap and I'm done messing with it in less than 30 seconds. Get these and don't go back.
