This filter is very compact and with a 90-degree port it was a great fit for the confined space and twisting fuel line route on my 1982 Yamaha Vision XZ550RJ. The Vision was not produced with a stock fuel filter, just a screen attached to the petcock inside the fuel tank. These screens do not catch the smaller debris that clog fuel systems. Aftermarket in-line filter choices that would fit this particular application are rare. This product, because of it's small size and shape provided an easy solution to keep my carburetor clean.
I had a little rust in my gas tank that I wanted to keep out of the carb on my old Yamaha XT225. There isn't much space between the petcock and the carb -- This 90 degree filter was a perfect fit. I cut my fuel line in half and spliced in the filter in less that 2 minutes flat. It is smaller than most of the others I have seen. It has an arrow on it that shows the direction for installation. Nicely priced as well, and it works!
I bought this filter for my 1994 Yamaha XT225 Serow. It is such a small filter! That factor along with the right-angle allows it to fit in the small space the XT225 affords between the fuel petcock and the carb. Highly recommended for this application as well as other similar situations. If you have an old tank that you suspect is affecting your fuel, you can fix it quickly with this filter between the tank and carb, done deal! I'm a new DK customer and am very pleased with DK as a vendor so far.
No other filter will fit my GasGas off-road bikes as well as this one. The 90 degree angle design eliminates any kinking of the fuel line between the petcock and the carburetor. Never run your bike without a fuel filter.
