After 23 years out of snowmobiling, I bought I good used sled this winter and needed to get some new proper riding apparel. Back when I had my bike, I had HJC gear, so I knew the name. I could not justify the cost of the bibs with the "Polaris" name on them that the local motorsports shops were selling....outrageous! When I received my new gear from Dennis Kirk, I immediately tried it all on and suited up like I was going for a ride. It fits great, everything works, the quality and workmanship is top notch, and I can't wait to hit the trails. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll have to wait until next season, because there is no snow anywhere in the northeast, and warm weather is coming soon.
I was a loyal HJC purchaser until my last full set of HJC gear. These are the least waterproof bibs I have ever owned. In snowy conditions 6 miles and you are soaked in the rear. Pocket seams seperated nearly immediately. I contacted HJC for warranty and it took 3 weeks to get a reply. Then I was passed back and forth between people, one of which I never heard from. My Storm jacket is already falling apart and the matching Storm gloves are not nearly as warm as my old ones. HJC must have made substantial changes for the worse in quality since I purchased my last set. This will be my last HJC purchase ever. Nothing here reflects negatively on Dennis Kirk, just HJC.
