After a few weeks of having these pipes on my 02 Honda Spirit 1100, they still look and sound great. Definitely for motors that have been built up some or those with more CI/CC. They have a nice deep tone that doesn't get annoying on the highway. Well worth the money.
I have to say, these are the best sounding pipes I've heard on an 1100 Shadow Spirit. None of that tinny sound like from the other aftermarket pipes. Fairly quiet at idle, but there's a nice, throaty sound when you crack it open! Not too loud at highway speeds, but it gets pretty loud at residential speeds. Probably not a good choice if you don't want any attention, or if your neighbors are complainers and you leave home at o-dark-30, but I love 'em! May not sound exactly like a Harley, but to my ears it sounds better than most Harleys.
One tip- The finish scratches easy (didn't lay a blanket down when I put them on the bracket), and it works a whole lot easier to install the bracket prior to attaching to the bike. Very difficult to get to the bracket once they're attached to the bike.
