This definitely is worth the minimal money to help take the vibration out. Simple installation, especially for people that have hairspray available in their household. It does increase the diameter of the grip, since it slips over the existing, but that doesn't bother me because I have big hands.
I was looking for a grip that would provide more comfort and reduce some of the tingle transmitted thru the bars by vibration. These did the job. About the only negative is that since the slip over your existing grips, they do increase the diameter of the grip considerably. Some with small hands may find this not good.
My throttle hand was getting a numb, tingling thumb and index finger way too often. Probably due to wrist being broken 21 years ago. With this simple addition I can ride all day without a problem. I should have tried these a year ago!
I needed something to "fatten up" the grips on my BMW RT that would work with the heated grips. These fit the bill perfectly. Using a trick I know to install grip covers, I had them on my bike in less than 10 minutes, without using water, hairspray, or any lubricant that might interfere with the heated grips. Takes a bit longer for the heat to come through the grips and gloves, but the increased comfort for me is worth the wait.
I've been riding almost 40 years,my hands go numb fast, with these grip covers the numbness is very little and there is no pain. They have use hair spray putting them on, it doesn't work,my grips were stock and needed to be replaced, so I used my black silicone. There on tight and looks better then the old grips.I would recommend too all.
