When installing this do you have to pull the 5th gear race too or can you just pull the seal and install new one?
Adamj on Jun 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We sell parts only, we don't have a service department that installs the parts we sell. I would suggest checking in a service manual, or a local shop, as I have not replaced this seal.
What is this seal for? Main shafts shifter rod?
Squigly on Aug 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: seal 12035-B goes inside the 5th gear on the main shaft. You can use a piece of PVC tubing to drive it in. Use lots of grease to protect the lips while getting it over the splines.
