Good product for your high performance sled, I got 1200 miles on them and there is still 1 trip left in them, they have no tendency to "heat up"(no smell of burned plastic) and build ups over the track sliders (even during long distances at high speed), long lasting hyfaxes I ever used, I recommend this product to anyone with high performance sled. Great for any trail condition and you're always sure that during the long trip , you'll not worry about them.
These replacement slides did the trick. They appear to be very high quality strips. The old ones came off with a little elbow grease. It is then I noticed that the strips the website recommended for my 1996 ZRT 600 were longer than the ones I needed. This cost me about $6-8 more, which I was not happy about. Measure your old ones first and don't rely on the website. I cut the extra length off and slipped them on quite easily. They don't come with hardware so you might want to get new screws, although I was able to use my old ones. I did not deduct any stars as the value is still there and I hope DK makes the necessary changes to their product page.
As usual, the products purchased from Dennis Kirk are of good quality. Their delivery time is excellent. I am not fond of the website, but I'm not very savy. I would prefer to still receive a catalog--I'm still old school. Otherwise, always great to deal with, and phone service is very very good as well.
Slides wer easy enough to install through the track windows using some WD-40. They wer cut to length and tapered so there was no need to trim although I do like to radius the ends to facilitate removal in the future. They will be put to the test in the U.P. this weekend.
Work fine and are installed. The pre drilled holes on the front of the slides were no where near stock holes on skid, had to countersink and drill my own. Slides were bout half inch short from back of skid but not an issue. Took sled out the other day and on a 60 mile test run. Worked fine, just didn’t like re-drilling holes on model specific slides.
Put 650 miles on these graphite slides in one trip and they were half worn. They did not hold up any better than standard slides. These proved to be the only sled in the group, on the same snow, that would "heat-up" and stink. Maybe it was some type of wierd snow condition- but I'm not sold on it. Could buy 2 regular slides for the price of these. Would not buy again.
Ordered these for my 95 panther deluxe as it says "they fit". They most certainly did not fit. Had to put a micrometer to it and sent back all the details to DK. DK did refund me for both. Found them cheaper locally from arctic cat dealer.
