2003 Harley Davidson FLHT

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Build a bike I would want to ride.

What motivated you to start your project?

I had the 03 harley flht. Paid $8000 for it. September 28 2019 a car pulled out in front of me and totalled it. All metal was damaged. Frame was still good. When I got out of the hospital I bought a bike off line, a 2006 harley flhtcui. Was not able to ride because of injuries. Bike was supposed to be a 103ci ready to ride. Motor was not a 103ci it is an 88ci. and had a bad noise in it. So. I had a Choice to make. Redo my bike witch was a 96ci or switch out motors, or rebuild my bike with matching several numbers. So I decided that I would build a new bike out of my wrecked one. And make it the way I want it. So I stripped all metal off both bikes. Took parts off the newer one to put on my wreck. Then bought new chrome lower forks, apes, new black braided cables, new seat stereo system, new  tires went with a 150 rear, 130 front, all new brakes, chromed out motor trim, new highway pegs, new shift pegs, new grips. All in all about $13000 total. I like finished product.

What are you most proud of?
