1999 harley davidson xlh120

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

my group of bikers from the old days all rode light, hot rod bikes, sportys, triumph tt spl, bsa hornets and the like. upstate NY had lots of dirt roads to get em sideways.

What motivated you to start your project?

having been a flat tracker from the 60s>70s, I wanted that look and feel. small budget project and not finished yet as they never are. the previous owner had it decked out like a station wagon. windshield, saddle bags, highway pegs, crash bars , spots. the bike only had 11k on it and was in excellent condition. so I brought it home.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

small detailing in bright colors and less chrome, speaks track bike not custom.

What are you most proud of?

reducing weight by 65 lbs, < weight = horse power.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

it gets it share of praise, think its older than it is and been restored.
