1998 Harley-Davidson EVO 80″

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I found a softail roller that someone gave up on yrs. ago and I wanted to try and do an old skool look that’s not a rigid and give it a nice clean look and nice smooth flowing lines. I think I did a pretty good job.

What motivated you to start your project?

I just received a new kidney transplant 16 months ago after being on dialysis for 10 yrs every night for 8 hrs. I’ve been wanting to do another build because I wanted to feel young again. LOL I’m 62 yrs young and I owed it to myself.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

I had to do some fabbing on the frame and fender. Wanted to keep the bike sleek looking.

What are you most proud of?

I am def most proud that I painted the complete bike (except the flames) with rattle cans. Pain was called Kustom Canz and I tried it on a fender and I said what the hell im gonna try to paint the entire bike. Took my time did everything your supposed to do and it came out unbelievable. When people see it they don’t believe it and at times neither do I.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

I get so many compliments I can’t even begin to tell you. They love the clean look. Nice lines. But mostly about the paint and the way I set up the bike with a jockey shift and 2” belt drive that has (Suicide Mission on it with the Von Dutch flying eyeball. Lots of compliments on the flames. One guy even asked me to build him a bike. Sorry buddy not in the summer but we will talk. I really had a good time with the build. Four months start to finish actually three cuz I had to wait 5 weeks for my motor getting rebuilt.
