1997 Harley-Davidson Sportster XLH1200

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Two fold…the create something, renew, rebuild something beautiful in that environment and use it as a diversion, distraction, and… To feel the wind and the road and go new places a new way and see new things and meet new people.

What motivated you to start your project?

A year+ as a First Responder surrounded by death, devastation and SARS-CoV2. Coming out of my own illness, coma and several week long CCU experience (I kicked COVID’s ass at 61 years of age 💪) I realized how ridiculous my ‘someday list’ looked.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

It’s simple, maybe silly but I creamicoated my brake calipers RED!

What are you most proud of?

That I got back on after having NOT ridden in 42 years.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Those that saw the wreckage, humiliation and disrespect imparted upon it by a teenager who thought he could handle a Harley as a first motorcycle say, WOW!
Those who did see it say, HOW?!
