I always been very mechanically inclined my whole life. I was that kid who didn’t have to read directions to put anything together. Plus many years of watching uncle PAUL, jimbo, who at any given time was building or working on a bike in his REDNECK BIKE GARAGE. Wanted to learn the ins and outs of H-D’S..
I grew up around bikes, not necessarily H-D’S. I just lost my dear best friend ( UNCLE PAUL ) to pancreas cancer 2 yrs. ago and I told him and his wife, Aunt Shirley, one day I’ll get a chance to build one. So this build, my 1st. EVER bike build, I dedicated it to UNCLE PAUL..
Well after building it from a nothing but boxes and tin cookie containers, I was looking at rim’s and tire ideas, and soo many hrs. Of youtube video’s, how to paint wheels. So I did. A couple of cans of aerosol spray paint and steady hands for taping. I got-r-done.
Looking back to the very day I was given the opportunity to challenge myself with this, I can’t put it into words and one thing. The mind blowing experience of trial and error was SHOOT, AWESOME.
Ohman, the proudest moment, THE PRICELESS MOMENT, was when I sent Aunt Shirley, and Jimbo a picture. The OVERWHELMING feelling of I, TIM, made Aunt Shirley cry of JOY, AMAZEMENT, and memories.
