1991 Harley Davidson Custom Siftail

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

A bike that is mechanically well built and looks great for my eyes. A bike that knows who’s the master and gave it a second life. A much better life with distinct character.

What motivated you to start your project?

This is my second built. I always was a rider but when my twins were born in 2000 I sold my rides and stopped riding. Kids are in college now and I could not find what I was looking for and came up with my own builds. The Harley is just a must have but I did not like anything in the store. That’s when I decided to build my own.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

The air intake filter. Built from scratch. I wanted to leave a very special peace of art on this one and that I think came out better than I had in mind. The second was to convert the bike to chain and brake into one (sprockster from wilwood).

What are you most proud of?

That I did not rush anything I put my hands on. No shortcuts at all.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Few people have seen it so far as I just finished it. Whoever saw it was absolutely fascinated. There are people that do not care … it’s just another bike … but I built this for me and I am excited I did it.
