1989 Harley Softail

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Build something that looked different and distinctive to other bikes but was also easy to ride for many miles at a stretch

What motivated you to start your project?

This is my second custom.  Number one was fine, but I knew I could improve on my building and painting skills from that first one.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Rear light is fabricated from metal, fiber glass and Bondo, with small but really bright LEDs.

What are you most proud of?

That rear light.  Also it has self-cancelling turn signals (neat!).  I like the gold and black engine too.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

The best comment was “That’s a thing of beauty”
