1988 Harley Davidson 883 Sportster

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

The bike had a little over 4000 original miles on it. I wanted to see if I could bring it back to life. To keep it in the family .

What motivated you to start your project?

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

I drained the 10 year old fuel from the tank and the carburetor and cleaned the spark plugs. Put a little oil in the cylinders and hooked up a battery. To my surprise it fired up after a half a dozen cranks ! It ran rough , but it ran !

What are you most proud of?

After going through the carburetor New battery and tires Changing all the rubber lines Changing all the fluids Replaced the rear rotor A lot of polishing* The bike runs great ! Memory Restored

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

People are surprised it turned out so nice. Some can’t believe its a 33 year old motorcycle. Looks great for a 1988 !
