1979 Kawasaki KZ400

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To build an older chopper/bobber style bike but with some updated features.

What motivated you to start your project?

I have enjoyed riding motorcycles for most of my life, and really wanted to build a bike of this style.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

I really like the powder coating on the tank and fender, it will look a different color depending on what light it’s in.

What are you most proud of?

How well the bike rides and handles even for being a hardtail.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

  • Most people just ask what it is.

Can you share with me how you got the ninja caliper on there?

KZ400 brakes calipers are obsolete now and I cannot find parts at all and would love to just put another caliper without having to replace the whole front end.

Do you have an adapter plate? Or do you have ninja forks on there?

    Thanks a lot!
    I would appreciate any info!!!!
