1975 Yamaha RD350

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

It started off as a race bike with the ultimate goal of racing in AHRMA.

What motivated you to start your project?

Originaly I wanted to get into vintage racing, owning and building many vintage bikes in the past, and loving watching racing at vintage days I wanted to take it a step further.  The build took a few years longer than I intended due to the birth of some kids and priorities changing, it ended up being more of a show/fun bike.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

The bodywork is what sets the bike apart.  Not being able to find ‘off the shelf’ what I had envisioned, most of it was built custom.

What are you most proud of?

Everything about the bike, it turned about better than I imagined.  Its beautiful to look at and its a hoot to drive.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Most people ask what it is, its not easy to tell what it started out as.  At that point they either talk about how it look, or if I was just riding it they talk about the sweet sweet two stroke sound and smell.
