I measured my hands at 7.25 inches so I got size small (7.75 inches). Length was perfect but initially a little tight and hard to flex my fingers. After break in they fit great. They are the warmest gloves I have ever used for snowmobiling. Only issue is if you sweat the leather hold the moisture in and the liner is not removable.
These gloves from FXR have a nice supple texture and appear to be made from quality materials, by skilled workers. They feature some nice features such as large open cuff and cinching forearm gator at the top of the cuff opening. Use of reflective material is a nice touch to aid in visibility for nightime hand gestures. I ordered a pair of XXL as I have large hands, but find the length of the thumb, cut a little bit short, which added to wrist fatigue on longer rides. They have been fairly warm for the rides I have ridden thus far (10-25•) I'd like to see a built in index finger squeegee to use as a goggle or shield wipe when conditions dictate. Overall, I'd recommend these to any looking for a quality leather glove.
These gloves were very nicely built, looked great and I think they would have done a great job of keeping me warm. I really wish I could have used them. Unfortunately they were so thick that it was a strain just to curl my fingers and trying to grab the throttle with my thumb required me to take my hand off the handlebar. It is possible they could have broken in and lost some of the stiffness, but I think it would have taken quite some time, if it happened at all. Even if they did, however, the thumb would have remained an issue. It seems to me that the design is such that the distance from the tip of the pointer to the thumb is too short, at least it was for me. Otherwise they were a nice fit.
